Route 12 Rotisserie League Rules

Composition of Team: A team consists of 9 players, one at each position: DH, C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF.
DH Rule: Any player can serve as a DH.
American League Only Rule: Players can be selected from the American League. National League players are not included.
Who Wins: The winning team is the team which has the most runs scored at the end of the regular season.
Centerfielders Rule: You can play a centerfielder in left or right field.

Selection of Players: Players are selected in the March Draft.
Easter Rule: If your draft pick is due on Easter you may have more time.
Demotion to AAA Rule: If your player is sent down to the minors you may replace him immediately. Rehab assignments do not count as demotion.
Tiebreaker: In the unlikely event that teams are tied at the end of the year, the tiebreaker will be: The team with the most runs scored by the eight fielding players is the winner. In other words for purposes of breaking a tie the DH's stats will not be counted. If further ties exist, players will be discounted according to the defensive-offensive spectrum:
DH, 1B, LF, RF, 3B, CF, 2B, SS, C.
Carry-over Rule: This is a "keeper" league, meaning you keep your players from one year to the next.
Loss of Bench player: If a player who is on your bench retires, that roster spot vanishes. In this situation you cannot benefit from the "Lou Gehrig" clause above. The player would have to be active on your roster for the "Lou Gehrig" clause to be in effect.

Injury and Disabled List Section

Dustin Pedroia Rule: If your DH is injured and his replacement at DH is a position player who is on a rival rotisserie team, then you cannot have the runs scored by the replacement or the player who takes the position in the field for the replacement. Example: When David Ortiz had heart palpitations in August 2006, Mark Loretta replaced him at DH and Dustin Pedroia played 2B. Had Ortiz gone on the DL, there would have been no replacement available.

Injury rule: If you want to keep the rights to an injured player you can count the stats of his replacement until he comes back. ( Injured means on the disabled list. ) Also you have the rights to the replacement player in the future. For example, if you had Wally Pipp and then Lou Gehrig became his replacement, you would have the rights to Lou Gehrig.
Injury notification rule: It is the responsibility of the team owner to notify the stat keeper of the dates of injury of the player who was injured.
Retroactive DL placements: The runs of your substitute ( be he from your bench or the direct fill-in from the same team as the injured player ) can be counted from the date of the retroactive DL placement.

If your player is traded to the National League mideseason, then you may replace him immediately.
If multiple trades occur at the trading deadline, then the team lower in the standings at that time has priority to pick a replacement player.
